YESTERDAY’S
FAITH

 Yesterday’s
Faith

This
is a book of eleven short Sermons to re-ignite Christians
values in today’s decaying society, where all religions are
acceptable in the name of love, even in many of the Christian Churches.

Oblivious
of the Antichrist element sweeping the World at the moment, many Christians fail
to realise that most of the new age faiths and pagan religions have degraded
Jesus Christ to a position of less importance disregarding His full deity as
stated in Scripture.

The
Bible states that Jesus is the second member of the one and only Trinitarian God
to be recognised  and worshipped.

As
we live this side of the Millennium, it has never been more important to realise
that faith in Jesus Christ is the only way we may receive God’s forgiveness
and Salvation.

As
the day draws near when every knee will bow to Jesus, as king of King and Lord
of Lords.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I have never written anything before but feel that there are issues that need addressing at this time. I certainly know the problems that the wrong teaching can cause young people first hand, after attending a Seventh Day Adventist School, while being Anglican; the conflicting ideas were not easy to deal with.

My husband and I attended a Baptist Church for some time where the Pastor encouraged us to study for a Certificate in Theology, from Moore Theological College. As I always wanted a ministry to serve God we accepted.

So with a lot of support and help from my husband and brother, I have written this book in the hope that it will help someone seek the real
Jesus.

Introduction

Yesterday’s
kind of faith is tomorrow’s Salvation. A fact so easily overlooked in
today’s world, with the many World religions to explore and the idea of peace
and harmony they promise their followers.

It
is time now as never before in these unsettled times that we, as followers of
the Lord Jesus stand up for the Gospel as preached by the Lord Himself, in
defiance of all the false versions that allow people to feel comfortable with a
mix of Christian and pagan beliefs and feel that they are still being faithful
to the true church of God.

 If
anyone is offended by the words and ideas in this book, then I am truly sorry,
as I have written it without prejudice to any man woman, child, race or culture,
in the effort to contradict some of the dangerous idea been presented as new age
Christianity in the world at present, and discuss them in the light of
unchangeable Scripture.

For
this I make no apology.

I
would like to thank all who have helped me with this book.

First
I would like to thank my God for the honour of writing these words in the hope
that some may realise the hurt they are causing the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
of this one Almighty God by the incorrect belief, that they can change Scripture
to suit their life style in this new Millennium, thus feeling justified in their
pagan beliefs.

I
would also like to thank the late Rev Robert Ham and his wife Brenda for their
help and encouragement to study for the TH.C in theology from Moore Theological
College. Enabling this book to be written.

“Let the words of my mouth,

and the meditation of my heart,

be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD,

my strength, and my redeemer.”

Christianity
versus Islam

 With
Christ our head and cornerstone,

 We’ll
build our Nation’s might

 Whose
way and truth and light alone

 Can
guide our path aright

Our
lives, a sacrifice of love, reflect our master’s care.

With
faces turned to heaven above, Advance Australia Fair

In
joyful strains then let us sing, Advance Australia Fair.

The
above is either a censured or counterfeit verse of our national anthem, but
which ever the case the sentiment of the verse should never be lost to the
Australian people, for now is the time for all Christian Australians to regain
Australia for the love of our God, and the freedom that He had obtained by His
blood on the cross.

Whether
of convict descent, or free man, let us stand tall in this land Australia, in
the knowledge that this is the land God gave us.

We
must never lose sight of the fact that there are forces in the world at the
moment that would see Australia claimed for Islam, and there are many liberal
thinking Christian and misguided do-gooders who are handing it to them, and
diminishing the right of the Australian people.

Our
freedom of speech is not what it used to be, with all the anti- discrimination,
anti-racial, and anti-everything else laws favouring people from other lands, to
the point where even our democratic rights are being threatened.

All
Christian thinking people must make a stand now before it is too late; to ensure
that religious discrimination against the followers of the Lord Jesus never
happens in this country.

In
some cases there are signs of this happening even now.

With
the fall away from tradition, among the modern generation, we are even seeing
the clergy of some Christian faiths feel the need to have discussion and
seminars with those of Muslim and pagan beliefs in the effort to bring the
faiths closer together. This could be a good idea if it was used to bring the
non-Christian closer to faith in Jesus Christ, but often the opposite is the
case with the Christian coming closer to seeing the point of the Muslin and
pagan.

As one
Anglican brother stated after one such day of interfaith sharing:

“One
wonders at times if God really does have a favourite religion; was our
excommunicated off shoot of Jewry the only way?”

That
any Christian Clergy could hold such a thought for even a second is proof of how
some have lost their way, and turned their back on the faith and deity of Jesus
Christ.

It
is true that some religions claim to follow the same God, but we must realise,
that not all faith and worship is acceptable to God, unless it proclaims the
Lord Jesus as the only Saviour, and the eternal Son of the Father, and second
person in the Trinity of a monotheistic God.

It
is very disappointing how the church has accepted all faiths, and feel that they
are doing the right thing, even though such practices are warned against in the
Bible.

One
such Sermon preached in an Anglican Church the weekend after Australia day must
have been very disappointing to our Lord, where the Priest stated:

“As
a nation we’ve been through testing times and indeed still are on that
journey, as we’ve begun to learn to honour the original inhabitants of this
land.  Perhaps another challenge for
now and into the future is learning how to not only be a multicultural society
but also a multi faith society.

“It
would be inspiring to think that Christians could be leaders in these changing
times. That we could be seen as loving one another, yes!

“But
also that we could be seen as loving – wanting the best for all people.
That we could be seen as people who truly honour this creation and seek
what is best for the whole world.

“In
short that we could be truly and deeply, people of love.”

True the
times may change, but what God expects of us will never change.

What
may I ask is love?

If
not our committed effort in bringing all people into the love of the Christian
God, who believes that every person lost to another faith, is one taken from His
protective saving love obtained only through His Son.

Our
first love must be shown towards God and in obedience to His Word that love must
also show concern for the salvation of all of God’s creation, while standing
faithfully committed to the one true God.

In
Australia all people are free to follow their own faith.

We
have freedom of religion, and so it should be, but having said that, it should
be realised that Australia has always been predominately Christian, until now
that is. Today we see even the clergy trying to weaken the faith, in Jesus
Christ by trying to accept all faith in the name of love as if love is more
important than the Lord Himself.

The
trouble is that the modern Christian has taken Love too far into areas that our
Lord did not even suggest.

Many
are using love in the same way the Scribes and Pharisees used the law. As long
as you love there is no need to obey the Scriptures

“The
characteristic form of love in the New Testament is for the fellow Christian,
love for the outsider being expressed in evangelistic outreach and in the
patient endurance of persecution
.”
(
Page 917 The Illustrated
Bible Dictionary part 2.)

A
Christian should be led by the Holy Spirit to love the way our Father loves as
revelled in His Son Jesus Christ.

To
seek and pray for the well being, of all peoples, friend or foe, but never be
tempted, to be lead astray by their misguided ways.

Jesus
never agreed with the so-called religions Two Thousand years ago when on Earth,
not even under the penalty of death. He was never afraid to preach his truths to
the Priests and the lawyers of the day. Nor did he bow to their vain idea of
their own importance, as if they knew better that God Himself.

So what
gives us the right, to accept all faiths and still claim to be a true disciple
of Jesus Christ?

A true
disciple of Christ stands firm in the face of diversity regardless of the
pressures from the world to conform.

“For
I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believes.”

Roman 1:16
kJ

It is time
for all Christian every where to bravely defend the gospel of Christ, as never
before,

“For
our struggle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world, against spiritual wickedness
in high [places].

“Wherefore
take unto you the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the
evil day, and having done all, to stand.

 Stand
therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the
breastplate of righteousness;

“And
your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

“Above
all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the
fiery darts of the wicked.

“And
take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of
God:”
Ephesians 6:12-17kj
